On April 11, chip design service company Canxin (688691.SH) landed on the Kechuang board, and its share price soared 150% on its first day. SMIC International Holdings Limited, as the second largest shareholder, holds 14.23% of the shares.
However, affected by the downturn in the industry, SMIC's investment returns in the primary and secondary markets have decreased.
SMIC Juyuan Private Equity Management (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., as SMIC's main investment platform, saw a significant decline in the number and amount of outbound investment last year, from 58 investments of 1.736 billion yuan in 2022 to 23 investments of 344 million yuan in 2023.
In the secondary market, SMIC has successfully listed at least 13 companies in 2023, including 688515.SH, 688582.SH and so on.
But from January to April 2024, SMIC gained only one IPO company.
